Roberto Blain is a cofounder of QuPeople and its current
President. He has over 20 years experience in human capital and
talent management with a strong background in recruitment, employee
relations, training and organizational development. Other areas
of expertise include performance management, business process
redesign and team building. Roberto began his career as a recruiter
on Wall Street after graduating from NYU with a degree in Management
and Industrial Relations. Subsequently, he worked for a number
of years as Employment Manager for the Federal Reserve Bank of
Atlanta. He then relocated out west and spent the next five years
as HR Manager with the CNA Insurance Companies. In that position,
he supervised a staff of generalists in a high volume recruiting
environment.
After
CNA, Roberto transitioned to Disney Feature Animation, where he
served as HR Manager for cast and crews of Disney animated features
from Pocahontas through Atlantis. Prior to cofounding QuPeople,
Roberto had a two-year engagement with Warner Bros., where he
was responsible for overseas and domestic executive level staffing
and diversity recruiting strategies. He also supported the organization
in transitioning from a traditional staffing model to an in-house
search team.
A
past SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) instructor,
Roberto has had a rich involvement over the last ten years in
the personal growth and transformation business. As a result,
he brings a wealth of experience and insight in the area of creativity
and the ability to achieve performance breakthroughs in the workplace.
Roberto
is a student of dreamwork whose overarching commitment is to support
people in realizing their mission and grounding their vision.
His work integrates current and emerging insights in organizational
development and learning, systems thinking, leadership, diversity,
creativity and philosophy. He is currently authoring a book on
talent acquisition excellence.
